Pecknold acknowledged the out-of-left-field crossover in a series of Instagram comments, proclaiming it to be “so wild.” Later that week, during a performance in Portland, ME, he acknowledged the strange new Phish connection once again from the stage, mustering a brief nod to Phish’s “Bouncin’ Around The Room” before joking “oh on, um, we’re trying to learn–ok, this is a Phish song…what we’re about to play, this is a Phish song” and launching into “White Winter Hymnal”. Watch the video here.Tickets for Fleet Foxes 2018 concerts go on sale December 9th at 10 a.m. local time.
